Hello and welcome to the latest edition of the members newsletter, we hope it finds you well.
Football update
Since the last update the first team have played three games with the below results:
- 22 January: Ryton and Crawcrook Albion (h) – League. Lost 0-1. Report, Photos and Video >>
- 29 January: Carlisle City (a) – League. Won 0-1.
- 5 February: Tow Law Town (h) – League. Won 3-1. Report, Photos and Video >>
That is another 6 points on the table leaving the club 12 points clear at the top of the Division 2 table. We now have 9 games till the end of the season and your support will mean the world to the lads as the try to win the league.
Next up we face Boldon CA at home on Saturday, followed by a rare Friday night at Grounsell Park when we face Durham City on the 25th February. After that we travel to Easington Colliery one of our main title rivals on the 5th March and we need as many of you as possible there to cheer the lads on. We then have a further away day down at Redcar Town on the 12th March.
Since the last newsletter the A team have played three games, 2-1 defeat away at Willington Quay Saints was followed my a very impressive trip to Ashington were the lads brought the points home with a 7-1 win. Last weekend they drew 0-0 at home against Ponteland United Reserves. They’re next two fixtures are away in the league at Morpeth on Saturday, followed by West Moor and Jesmond away in the League Cup.

Heaton Stan Quiz Night The next quiz night is on Thursday 25th February with an 8pm start. Everyone welcome!
Charity Fund Raising The club this year is proving to be more than just a social or football club but a real community spirited club. The club, its members and supporters have so far this year donated nearly £3500 of cash or goods to local charities. Charities that have benefitted are Newcastle Hospital Charities £575; CHUF £325; Daft as a Brush £1170; Making Winter Warmer £1040 and Prostate Cancer £380. We also will soon be making our defibrillator available to the public.
Billy Mitchell & Bob Fox – Thursday 10th March 2022 The “Waters of Tyne to Fog on the Tyne“ concert has been rescheduled for 10th March and tickets are now on sale. A night of great music both traditional and contemporary, all glued together with a bucketful of Geordie humour.
