Heaton Stan Comedy Night – 29 Feb

We are delighted to announce the second instalment of the Heaton Stan Comedy Night! We once again are pushing the boat out to bring you some of the best acts on the circuit on your doorstep!

The event is limited to 60 tickets at a price of just £10 each. This night is strictly for over 18s only.

The second Heaton Stan Comedy Night will take place on Thursday 29th February 2024 and we are delighted to share the line up as it currently stands.

MC David Hadingham

David Hadingham is a seasoned comedian known for his sharp wit and hilarious insights into everyday life. With a career spanning several decades, Hadingham has established himself as a stalwart in the world of stand-up comedy. His unique style combines clever wordplay, observational humour, and a touch of self-deprecation, creating a comedic experience that resonates with audiences of all backgrounds. Whether he’s poking fun at the quirks of human behaviour or sharing personal anecdotes, David Hadingham’s performances are a rollercoaster of laughter that leave audiences in stitches. His charismatic stage presence and impeccable timing have earned him a great reputation in the UK.

Lauren Pattison

Bursting out of the North East and onto the international circuit, Lauren has performed at numerous national and international festivals. In 2017, Lauren sold out her debut run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with her critically acclaimed show Lady Muck. In 2018, she was the only UK rising star invited to Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal, performing on the Brit(ish) lineup.

A sought after act, Lauren is a regular at all the major national live comedy clubs and has provided tour support for Katherine Ryan, Jason Manford, Kerry Godliman, Stewart Francis and Dane Baptiste. Lauren’s TV appearances include Stand up for Live Comedy (BBC1, )two episodes of Comedy Central at the Comedy Store (Comedy Central), Roast Battle (Comedy Central), hosting an episode of Takeshi’s Castle (Comedy Central),  The Dog Ate My Homework (CBBC), The Great Christmas Rant (ITV2), The Blame Game (BBC One Northern Ireland) and internationally on New Zealand’s 7 Days (TV3), Australia’s Comedy Up Late (ABC) and Canada’s The Stand Up Show with Katherine Ryan (The Comedy Network Canada).

As an actor her credits include Drunk History (Comedy Central), Jerk (BBC3) and Climaxed (BBC3).

She can currently be heard hosting the critically acclaimed weekly podcast Conversations Against Living Miserably, produced by the TV channel Dave in partnership with the Campaign Against Living Miserably. Now in its second series, the podcast has had guests including Richard Gadd, Jenny Eclair, Lou Sanders, Dane Baptiste and Stu Goldsmith. The Guardian described the show as “funny, kind and thought-provoking.”

Peter Brush

A highly distinctive performer and deft writer of finely crafted jokes, Peter Brush unassumingly takes the stage with his slight bespectacled frame and scruffy hair, before consummately conquering it with an arsenal of razor sharp quirky one-liners and peerlessly original routines, all delivered in an amusingly awkward fashion.

Peter performs at all the major clubs across the UK, as well as having done many of it’s biggest festivals, he has also played shows in Switzerland, Norway and Hungary. Formerly a BBC New Comedy Award finalist, he has written for several BBC Radio 4 shows and was the support act for Alexei Sayle’s most recent tour. Other acts he has supported on tour include Jonathan Pie, Jason Manford, Fern Brady, Arthur Smith and Paul Sinha.

Gavin Webster

Gavin Webster is an award winning and legendary comedian from the North East of England. After making his modest debut in a pub in Gateshead in February 1993, on the same bill as Ross Noble he’s done over seven thousand gigs performing all over the world including Abu Dhabi, Australia, Hong Kong, Dubai, Bahrain, Qatar, Singapore & Malaysia.

Famed and respected by his peers for his uncompromising and unusual approach and distinctly original routines, he now boasts a large cult following round the country. Gavin has also supported some of the biggest household names on tour including Kevin Bridges, Alexi Sayle, Lee Evans, Jack Dee and Phill Jupitus.

In 2014, he was named UK Circuit Comedian of the Year, as voted for by fellow professional comedians online.

He has also become a cult hero at the Edinburgh Fringe having performed an amazing ten solos shows over his career.

His television work includes Never Mind The Buzzcocks (BBC2), The Stand-up Show (BBC1), Does Doug Know (Channel 4), Take The Mike (ITV), The Regionnaires (Tyne Tees), The Eleven O Clock show (Channel 4), The Comedy Store, Comedy Blue (Comedy Central) and The World Stand Up Tour (Channel 9 Australia, Comedy Central USA).

He wrote and played in Walk on the Wild Side in 2009 and 2010. In 2011 he voiced Sid the Sexist for Channel 4’s series Blaps adapting Viz.

In 2016 Gavin made his big screen debut in Ken Loach’s multi-award winning film I, Daniel Blake.
