Club Statement

It is disappointing to inform you that our football manager Derek Thompson has made his decision to call it a day.

Derek has been with the club as both a player and manager for almost 20 years. During that time he has had a great deal of success both on and off the pitch and was instrumental in our club achieving Northern League status.

On behalf of myself, the Committee and our supporters I would like to thank him for the tremendous work he has done during all of those years.

Bill Colwill
Chairman – Heaton Stannington FC

RIP John Barker

It is with sadness that we share the news that former Heaton Stan Treasurer and Committee member John Barker passed away this morning.

Our thoughts and condolences are with Johns family and friends. The family would appreciate privacy at this time.

RIP John.

Heaton Stannington – 2020/21 Season Statement

The Heaton Stannington committee and management team have tonight met to review & discuss the FA Survey, issued on 15 January to Step 5 & 6 clubs, regarding the outcome of the 2020-21 season. We have considered a range of factors including the health & safety of our players/volunteers/supporters, the commercial impact and the wider impact on the game.

We have made the decision to vote for the 2020/21 to be declared null & void, with a new season to begin in August 2021. At this time, we feel the priority for everyone should be focusing on overcoming this devastating pandemic as soon as possible.

We all desperately miss football, miss the buzz of match day at Grounsell Park and miss socialising with our friends. We look forward to being able to welcome you all back safely at the right time.

Until then – stay safe.

Heaton Stan adopt evePASS

As of tonights match against Billingham Synthonia we will be moving to using the evePASS app for track & trace on a match days. For the majority of visitors this will replace the previous process of providing name and phone number manually to someone as you enter.

Please download the App to your phone before you arrive to make the entry process quicker. Download here: http://evepass.app

When you arrive at the ground, you will see posters outside the gate and at the turnstile window with a QR code. Simply scan the code with the evePASS app and you are done. It’s extremely quick and simple to use and many other Northern League grounds are using it (so you can use it at those grounds as well).

If you do not have a smartphone – we will still be able to take your details manually the old fashioned way!
