Stan The Can

It’s back by popular demand: Stan The Can, the Non-Leage Pale.

A perfect Christmas treat for yourself or gift for your family and friends. Our thanks to Dave Bogie of Overkill Brewery, Brandling Villa South Gosforth for devoting this brewing run to the 3.8% ABV ale that flew off our shelves in the summer.

Described as an honest, hop forward beer with a natural haze, designed to be drunk cold and fresh, wherever you feel like it, Stan The Can will be available from the Can Van at The Willow Park, from Saturday 20/12 at the Redcar home game for £5 per can.

Come and visit us and treat yourself!

Due to the postponement of the Redcar game, the can van will be open to sell Stan the Can from 6-8pm Monday and Tuesday this week.

Toy Donations

We today delivered your toy donations to Building Futures East; who will wrap and deliver these to children in our region.

Thank you again to our brilliant supporters who have contributed and helped to make a difference to a local child this Christmas.

Thank you also to the wonderful staff and helpers at Building Futures East who have gone above and beyond to support the East End community in so many ways over the the last 20 years. It is incredibly sad that the current economic climate means they cannot secure vital funding needed to continue and will be closing for good at the end of next week.

We wish them all the best for the future.

Half Season Tickets Now on Sale!

It’s that time of year again when we can offer fans the option of buying a Half Season Ticket.

It covers all 11 home games that remain in our 2025/26 Pitching In Northern Premier League East Division campaign, starting with Heaton Stannington v Dunston on Tuesday 16th December 2025.

Prices:
Adult £80
Concessions £45 (over 65 and students with ID)
Under 16s £15

At the halfway stage of the season we sit in 6th position in the league, just outside the Playoff spots, thanks in part to impressive back-to-back home wins.

So save yourself some money, get to The Willow Park, and back The Stan for the second half of the season.

RVI Children’s Ward Donation

Whilst our chocolate Christmas advent calendar was popular with Stan fans, we did have a batch left over.

Thank you to our Club Shop managers Belinda and William for taking these to Ward 9, a children’s ward at Newcastle RVI to donate them to children who find themselves in hospital during the festive period.

Ryan Chater Loan Deal Extended

Ryan Chater’s initial 28 day loan has been extended until the end of the season.

We are delighted with the impact Ryan has had so far and are pleased to secure his services for a longer period of time.

The original loan started in early November, with Ryan having made three appearances since then, coinciding with The Stan recording two wins and one draw.

We would like to thank Morpeth Town for their assistance and support with this loan deal.

Dan Capewell is the new Stan captain!

Heaton Stannington are delighted to confirm that Dan Capewell has been appointed the new Club Captain.

The towering centre back joined the club in September 2024 and has gone on to make 58 starts and two substitute appearances, scoring six goals, the most recent of which coming in our away game at Hallam where he wore the captain’s armband for the Stan for the first time.

Heaton Stan manager Dean Nicholson had this to say about his decision to appoint Dan as the new Club Captain:

“I’m delighted to name Dan as club captain. He’s been brilliant on and off the field and a real leader at the club. His professionalism, leadership and character really shines through in the dressing room, and every time we train and play, so it’s absolutely deserved. I look forward to seeing him for his next hundred games with the armband on.”
