Heaton Stan Under 18s made history in emphatic style as they visited Darlington FC to face their Academy side in the 1st Qualifying Round of the FA Youth Cup.

Nervousness was out of the window in the first half as the Stan romped to a 3-0 lead at the break following a dominating 45 minutes of football. The Stan had to dig in in the second half as the hosts attempted to recover from the deficit and despite bagging two goals could not do enough.

Stan go through to the Second qualifying round, the draw takes place on Friday 20th Sept at 1pm.

We are delighted to confirm the signing of defender Dan Capewell from Consett.

Dan is an experienced defender and has been at Consett for two seasons & was at Dunston prior. Capewell won Players Player of the Season and Managers Player of the Season in 2023/24 and was appointed as Consett’s captain for the 2024/25 season prior to making the move to Grounsell Park.
