Who are Campion AFC?
On Saturday, we welcome Campion AFC to Grounsell Park. So … who are Campion?
Campion Association Football Club is a football club based in Manningham area of Bradford, West Yorkshire, England. They are currently members of the Toolstation Northern Counties East Football League Division One which is the equivalent to Northern League Division Two.
Although formed in 1963, they have only been part of the National League System since 2016 when they joined the NCEL. They have an impressive record at Amateur levels prior to achieving Step 6 status. This means their FA Vase history is also limited, having never progressed past the 2nd qualifying round. Like us, they received a bye to the 2QR this season and commence their Vase campaign on Saturday.

In the League, Campion are on fire! They sit top of their division having played 7 games – winning 6 and picking up a draw. Unbeaten so far, scoring 23 goals and conceding 3. This is all prior to their home fixture this evening against Worsbrough Bridge … so that could all change.
Campion are clearly a progressive and ambitious Club and their league form means they will be a challenge.
The lads need the full support of the Stan Army once again as we look to make progress on the road to Wembley!
